HOW DO I REFILL OR ORDER NEW PRESCRIPTIONS?

  1. New prescriptions: If doctor has e-prescribed the prescription to the pharmacy or you have the written prescription. Come to the pharmacy where you originally filled your prescription and either wait for it or come back to pick it up at a later time.

  2. Refills: By phone. Call the pharmacy's phone number listed on our website or on medication label to call in your refill.

CAN I BUY GENERIC BRAND PRESCRIPTIONS EVEN THOUGH MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ME A BRAND NAME MEDICATION?

The pharmacist will dispense what the doctor writes on the prescription. If you don't want generic ask your doctor to write on the prescription. If he writes generic then the pharmacist will dispense the generic usually.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER ANY PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE I PURCHASE?

Your health plan generally will treat the drug as covered and charge you the co payment that applies to the most expensive drugs already covered on the plan (for example, a non-preferred brand drug).

WHAT SHOULD MY HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL KNOW BEFORE I TAKE MY MEDICINE?

Depending on your specific situation, certain medicines may not be right for you.
To find out what medical conditions or medicines may potentially cause problems with a new prescription; visit the pharmacy or give us a call to get information about it and any possible interactions.
You should also make sure that your doctor is aware of any medicines you are currently taking and other health conditions and health history.

HOW IS APOLLO DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PHARMACIES?

Apollo Specialty Pharmacy is unique because we offer free local delivery and try to offer the lowest out-of-pocket costs. We understand the cost barriers associated with healthcare and insurance, and we will try to help every patient no matter what their situation or ailment may be.

MY MEDICINE LOOKS DIFFERENT THAN IT DID BEFORE. WHY IS THAT?

Depending on the features of your plan sponsor’s pharmacy benefit plan, Apollo Pharmacy may contact your doctor, after receiving your prescription, to request consideration of either a brand-name medicine from the preferred list or a generic version of your medicine. This may change the original prescription you received from your doctor and generally save you money.

HOW CAN MY PHARMACIST HELP ME WITH MY MEDICATION QUESTIONS?

Patients need to work with their health care providers-including pharmacists-to make sure they receive the most benefit from their medicines. Keep a list of all prescription and non-prescription medicine and alternative medicines or dietary supplements you may be taking. Share that list with your doctor or pharmacist.
And don't forget that if you're ever a patient in a hospital or health system, you can always ask to speak to the pharmacist if you have medication questions. Working together, we can make sure that you receive the best treatment possible.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RUN OUT OF MEDICATION, AND I NEED A FAST REFILL?

No problem is too big for Apollo Family to handle. Our customers receive a courtesy call reminder when a refill order is due. If you fail to order your refill in time, we will rush the order to you. Your health is our number one priority.

MY MEDICINE LOOKS DIFFERENT THAN IT DID BEFORE. WHY IS THAT?

Your medicine may look different because a different manufacturer may have produced it. Before taking any medicine that looks different, contact your doctor or Customer Care.

ARE THERE REFILLS LEFT ON MY MAIL SERVICE PRESCRIPTION?

You can find the number of refills on your prescription label. You can also check your Prescription List. The Details section under each prescription label will show how many refills are left. If no refills remain, please contact your doctor to get a new prescription.

Let us know what you need and we’ll do our best to assist you.
